Spam Cop In Court For Operating Illegally

As a an online publisher, I come into daily contact with email/spam issues which can, in some cases, be gut-wrenching let alone downright stressful. By that I mean that we are not spammers nor do we condone spam of any sort and we comply with the rules as set forth in the Federal "Can Spam Act." We often get accused of spamming and even though we have the proof that we are innocent, we are not allowed to clear our good name. This is because, unfortunately there are some self-appointed, let me repeat that, self appointed, Internet email police who have appointed themselves up as judge and jury over all Internet related spam issues.

As a result of greed, power and a total disregard for our freedom, they have created an unrealistic situation which, by it's very concept, is contrary to human dignity as well as in opposition to the constitution of the United States which guarantees that people are innocent until proven guilty.

Once of these unlawful perpetrators is Spam Cop. They have clearly ignored and superseded the rights of the individual by declaring anyone turned in to them to be a spammer without being given the right to defend him/herself. While downright disgusting, this practice is totally against what we stand for as a people... we are innocent until proven guilty.
So we fight the daily battles and we grin and bear the stress and strain until finally someone comes along and helps carry that cross. That someone is Jim Edwards, himself an Ezine publisher, Jim is as concerned as I am with the inequities of this self-appointed email guardians.

Please take a moment to read this vital article (Article #1) and perhaps in some way, you can make a positive contribution to help us all win the unjust persecution of the innocent.

Remember the words of the late Tony Randal, "The only thing worse than a man who is opinionated is one who is opinionated and won't speak up for his beliefs."
